New Windsor Fire Prevention Ambassadors Sweep County Contest

Every year the CCVESA hosts a county fire prevention contest. In this contest, girls from each of the participating stations get the chance to represent the station, in hopes of winning a county title. During the contest the girls go through an interview process where they give a 3-5 minute fire prevention presentation. Then, they answer fire prevention questions during the on-stage portion.

This year there were three girls competing for Miss and four girls competing for Jr. Miss. All of the girls did a wonderful job during the contest, but sadly, only one girl can win the title. This year the Jr. Miss Fire Prevention Ambassador for the CCVESA is Sarah Paul, who was representing the New Windsor Fire Dept. Also representing New Windsor in the contest was Brittany Kowlaczyk, who is the new Miss Fire Prevention Ambassador for CCVESA.

The New Windsor Volunteer Fire Department is very proud to have won both the titles three years in a row. The previous Jr. Miss Fire Preventions for the CCVESA from New Windsor were Abby Lane and Anna Cain. The prior two Miss Fire Preventions for CCVESA, also representing New Windsor, were Melissa Williams and Brittany Hill.

The New Windsor Volunteer Fire Department are very proud of both of their girls for representing them so well this year at the county contest. They would also like to congratulate Sarah Flynn, from Manchester, who won the Jr. Miss 1st Runner-Up and Rachel Wolinski, also from Manchester, who won the Miss 1st Runner-Up title.

Congratulations to all the girls who were given the opportunity to represent this great county, and lastly, the New Windsor Fire Dept. would like to wish Brittany Kowlaczyk the best of luck as she goes to represent Carroll County at MSFA Fire Prevention Contest in June.
