At 0244hrs units from New WIndsor and Winfield were dispatched to the 3000 Block of Hooper Road for a report of a shed fire. Moments after dispatch the Carroll County Emergency Communications Center filled box alarm 14-11 for a now reported detached garage fire with an updated address in the 3000 Block of Hooper's Delight Road adding additional apparatus from Union Bridge, Mt Airy, Liberytown and Westminster to the call. First arriving Lieutenant 14-4 (J. Beadenkopf) found a 30' x 50' garage fully involved, he established the Hooper's Delight Road Command and requested the tanker task force. E101 arrived as the second due engine and completed E141's split lay and established the dump site for arriving tankers. E102 served as the "relay" engine in the nearly 2000' of large diameter hose in the street. Crews from both engines assisted with extinguishment and overhaul of the structure which was a complete loss. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office.
