Chief 17-1 (M. Ritter) arrived first and reported a single story single family dwelling fully involved and requested a rapid intervention dispatch and a tanker task force. Engine 172 arrived, and laid a supply line back the line and began a defensive fire attack. Engine 101 arrived and picked up Engine 172's line and set up for a rural water supply operation. Engine 102 and Medic 109 were added to fill out the additional requested apparatus. The fire was placed under control within the hour and Engine 101 operated on the scene for just over 2 hours.
