Vehicle Accident with Entrapment -- Bowersox Road at Nicodemus Road

At 1:50pm units were dispatched to the intersection of Bowersox Road and Nicoemus Road for a motor vehicle collisions. Minutes after dispatch the assignment was upgraded to a MVC with Rescue adding Rescue Squad 8 to the assignment. First arriving Chief 10 (T. Coe) found a 2 vehicle collision with both vehicles off the roadway and 1 occupant trapped in their vehicle. Paramedic 109 arrived and began triaging and treating the two patients involved in the incident and Engine 102 went to work stabilizing the car and removing the drivers door to gain access to the patient. Paramedic 109 transported 1 patient to Shock Trauma by ground and Paramedic 39 transported 1 patient to Carroll Hospital Center. The New Windsor units operated on the scene for just over 30 minutes prior to turning the scene over to the Carroll County Sheriff's Office.
