Just prior to 2pm units from Westminster, Reese, Gamber and Pleasant Valley were dispatched for a house fire in the 800 block of Wisteria Drive. Engine 32 arrived to find a single story single family dwelling with heavy smoke showing. Chief 3 (Bangerd) established Wisteria Drive Command and quickly reported a working basement fire requesting the Rapid Intervention Dispatch and Tanker Task Force. The initial crews make a quick knockdown of the fire but a tremendous amount of overhauled remained as the fire had made its way up into the walls of the first floor. Engine 101 which was sent on the tanker task force was paired with Truck 2 and sent to overhaul the first floor. Engine 102 was also dispatched on the call but was cleared prior to arrival and sent to fill in the Westminster Station briefly prior to being returned to service. Engine 101 operated on the scene for 2 hours prior to returning to service.
