Just before noon units from Carroll, Frederick and Adams Counties were dispatched to the 6000 Block of Taneytown Pike for a reported building on fire. First arriving units from Taneytown reported an 80' x 150' building in a junk yard well involved with fire and requested a second alarm. Engine 101 was added to fill the 2nd alarm assignement at 12:13. Engine 101 responded promptly with a crew of 6 and assisted units on the scene with overhaul operations on the defensive fire fight. Engine 101 operated for 3 hours prior to returning to quarters.
