| The New Windsor Fire Department received the great news today that we are the recipients of a $10,507 grant from Firehouse Subs. The grant will be used to purchase Automated External Defibulators and CPR Training Equipment. The grant was made possible through the Firehouse Sub's Public Safety Foundation. EMS Captain David Coe stated, "This grant will go a long way in making sure that the Citizens and Visitors of New Windsor are protected with Cutting Edge Life Saving Equipment, in addition this grant will provide for both departmental and public CPR, a critical first step in the chain of survival of a Cardiac Arrest." The New Windsor Fire Department has an excelent relationship with Firehouse Subs and encourages eveyone to visit the Firehouse Subs in Westminster located at the Crossroads Square Shopping Center, 625 Baltimore Blvd, Suite R in Westminster. From the Firehouse Subs Website:
"Our local heroes need to be prepared at a moment's notice to protect and save lives. Many first responders are forced to make do with older equipment and have limited or no access to needed resources. Our goal is to ensure that we are able to impact local fire departments, law enforcement and EMS and public safety organizations with the tools, technology and training they need." |
