Just before 9:30 units from Westminster, Reese, Pleasant Valley, New Windsor, Hampstead and Glyndon were alerted for a report of a building fire in the area of East Main Street and North Bishop Street in Westminster. First arriving Chief 9-2 (Mi. Knight) arrived to the rear of 265 East Main Street with a 2 story building with an exterior fire with extension into the eaves and directed units in the alley for access. Engine 33 arrived, Lieutenant 3-1 (K. Utz) established Main Street Command and requested the Rapid Intervention Dispatch.

The crew from Engine 33 knocked down the exterior fire as the crews from Engine 101 and Engine 31 advanced an attack line into the attic to knock down any fire extension. Crews from New Windsor worked for an hour until returning to service. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office.
