Firefighter Ray Welker graduated on May 23rd from the University of Maryland College Park with a Bachelor of Science degree in Fire Protection Engineering. Ray displayed his NWFD Pride in wearing his leather helmet as he walked across the stage to accept his diploma. He has put his degree to good use and is currently employed by BFPE in Hanover, Maryland where he is a Fire Protection Engineer in Training and works on designing fire alarm and sprinkler systems. Congratulations Ray, we look forward to having you back around the station!
