Mutual Aid to Union Bridge -- Motor Vehicle Collision with Entrapment 1000 Block of Clearview Road

At 2:39pm Paramedic 109 and units from the Union Bridge Fire Department were dispatched to the 1000 Block of Clearview Road for a reported Motor Vehicle Collision with Entrapment. First arriving, Paramedic 109 found a car off the roadway and into a tree with an occupant still in the vehicle. Rescue Squad 8 arrived and confirmed entrapment, Chief 8 (C. Green) established Clearview Road Command and their crew went to work to free the occupant. Engine 102 was added to the call to complete the initial assignment. Command requested Maryland State Police Aviation as well as Engine 101 to respond to Francis Scott Key High School to establish an landing site. The crews from Union Bridge and New Windsor completed the extrication by dismantling the car in 16 minutes. The patient was transported by "Trooper 3" to Shock Trauma.
