At 11:51am units from Pleasant Valley, Westminster, Taneytown and New Windsor were dispatched to the 1900 block of Old Taneytown Road in Frizzleburg for a report of smoke coming from the house. First arriving Chief 3-1 (J. Starry) found a two story duplex with nothing showing. The incident was quickly upgraded to a working kitchen fire and Chief 3-1 established Old Taneytown Road Command. Engine 101 arrived and functioned as the second due engine company and moved to the second floor to check for fire extension as Engine 63 put a quick knock down on the fire on the first floor. Engine 102, Brush 105 and Chief 10 as Command Support were dispatched to fill out the first alarm. The fire was extinguished and the assignment held with units from Station 6 and 10 less than 5 minutes from the first unit's arrival.
