Dale L. Lowman Recognized for 50 Years of Service to the New Windsor Fire Department

The New Windsor Fire Department is proud to recognize Dale L. Lowman for 50 years of dedicated volunteer service to the New Windsor Community. Dale joined the NWFD on August 10, 1964. During that time he has responded to a total of 3,846 fire calls and 136 Emergency Medical Calls. Dale became an engine driver in 1978 and has served as a driver trainer for several years.

Dale has served as a: Assistant Engine Forman for 2 years, an Engine Forman for 10 years, a Fire Lieutenant for 4 years, a Fire Captain for 2 years, an Assistant Chief for 4 years, a member of the Board of Directors for 7 years, the Vice President for 9 years and the department historian for 4 years.

Dale is a fixture in the "Chance Stand" during the annual Fireman's Carnival and was one of the key members who started our weekly Bingo fundraiser. Dale was a member of the Fire Department Softball team and participated with the "Wheels of the NWFD", a marching unit who went to parades with our hose carts and ladder wagon.
