Motor Vehicle Collision with Rescue - Route 31 at Medford Road

At 6:11pm units from New Windsor and Union Bridge were dispatched to the intersection of Route 31 at Medford Road for a reported Motor Vehicle Collision with Rescue. Chief 13-1 (C. Green) who was in the area of the call, arrived and confirmed a 2 vehicle "T-Bone" collision with one occupant trapped in their vehcile. The New Windsor units quickly arrived and Paramedic 109 began patient care while the crew from Engine 102 began stabilization of the vehcile and extrication of the occupant. Sergeant 10-2 (B. Moser) established the Route 31 Command and requested Maryland State Police Aviation. Rescue Squad 8 arrived and assisted in the completion of the extrication. Engine 101 established a landing site for the helicopter at the incident scene and Trooper 3 (MSP Aviation) transorted one patient to the University of Maryland Shock Truama Center.
