On Monday, June 1, the New Windsor Fire and Hose Company No. 1 held their annual fire prevention ambassador contest. This year's contest has a very big turnout, including three Little Miss contestants, two Junior Miss contestants and three Miss contestants.

Each girl had to present a 3-5 minute fire prevention presentation in an interview with a panel of three judges. After the interview portion, the girls had to answer two questions on stage. One question was about what they want to do as a fire prevention ambassador and the other was a fire safety question drawn at random.

All of the participants did a wonderful job and we were very excited to see all the new faces involved with the fire prevention program.
