Just after midnight units from the New Windsor Fire Department were dispatched for a Motor Vehicle Accident in the 1300 Block of Avondale Road. First arriving Paramedic 109 arrived to find a MVC invovling two tractor trailers with the cab of one being detatched from the frame. Lieutenant 10-2 (Kowalczyk) arrived and established the Avondale Road Command and requested a second ambulance and the Haz Mat Unit for a second patient and fluid spill from tractor. Crews went to work taking care of the injured and containing the hazards caused by the accident. Paramedic 109 transported 1 patient to Shock Trauma and Paramedic 38 transported 1 patient to Carroll Hosptial Center. The scene was turned over to the Carroll County Sheriff's Office and the New Windsor units returned to service .
