Several members of the New Windsor Fire Department joined with members from the Westminster and Pleasant Valley Fire Departments for some table top training at the Public Safety Training Center. Crews tested their knowledge of standard operating procedures and reviewed local available resources as they responded to simulated incidents. Incidents ranged in complexity and included an outbuilding fire, house fire, a mass casualty incident involving a deck collapse and a multi alarm town house fire with a mayday situation. After each incident, participants gathered for a hot wash to discuss the response and what the lessons learned from each scenario were. The excellent training opportunity was moderated by the CCVESA training facility manager Shane Darwick.
