The New Windsor Fire Department recently placed in service two "Stop the Bleed" Kits in the station. There is a Stop the Bleed Kit located on each level of the station. Each of these kits contain the necessary items to control large severe bleeding that could occur at any time or place.

The Stop the Bleed Campaign was launched in October 2015 by the White House, and is designed to encourage bystanders to become trained, equipped, and empowered to act in bleeding emergencies before professionals arrive.

Are you interested in becoming trained in Stop the Bleed, please contact EMS Captain David Coe via email at Dcoe@nwfd10.org or keep an eye on the Department's website as we will posting class dates soon.
