Small Fire Quickly Contained on Cardinal Drive

At 1:35pm on Friday, January 3, 2020, units from New Windsor, Winfield, Westminster, and Union Bridge were dispatched for the reported house fire in the 3100 Block of Cardinal Drive. First arriving Duty 10 (B. Kreimer) found a 2 story split foyer house with smoke from the roof, and established the Cardinal Drive Command. Command requested the Rapid Intervention Dispatch. Engine 101 arrived and deployed a handline to the second floor, finding a small fire in the ceiling of the master bedroom. The fire was quickly contained, within 8 minutes of arrival. Command held with crews from New Windsor, Winfield and Tower 3 from Westminster. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office.

Estimated Damage to the House: $10,000.00
