At 3:40 pm units from Winfield, New Windsor & Mount Airy were dispatched for a vehicle collision with entrapment in the 3500 block of Ridge Road. Utility 1-1 (Mt. Airy) arrived to find a tree trimming truck on its side with the driver trapped. Duty 14 (Chief 14-2) arrived on scene and established command. Crews from Winfield, New Windsor and Mount Airy worked together stabilizing the tree trimming truck using chains and the rescue engine as it's anchor point before removing the roof and extricating the victim. The patient was flown via Maryland State Police Aviation to a area trauma center with non-life threating injuries.
