Department Honors Bill Kreimer for 60 Years of Service |

On Saturday, March 12, 2022 the New Windsor Fire Department held it's annual department banquet in Windsor Station. This banquet was the first banquet in two years as the CoVID-19 pandemic cancelled last year's event. This annual event is held to honor the hard work of the members of the department during the previous year. This year, the department, had a special award for Mr. Bill Kreimer who has 60 years of active service with the New Windsor Fire Department. Voted into the department on July 10, 1961 at the age of 19, Bill became active in both the Fire/Rescue Operations and the Administrative functions of the department. Bill, currently serves the department as the chairman of the Department's "Big Money" Committee. Over the years, Bill has served in many roles during his 60 years of service including: Engine Foreman Congratulations, Bill on your 60 years of outstanding service to the New Windsor Fire Department and the New Windsor Community. The Kreimer Family has over 146 years of combined service to the New Windsor Fire Department, with Bill Kreimer (60 Years of Active Service), his sons Kevin (with 40 Years of Active Service), Assistant Chief Steve Kreimer (36 Years of Active Service), and Grandson Captain Brad Kreimer (with 10 Years of Active Service). |
