National Night Out Coming to New Windsor on August 2, 2022

The town of New Windsor will participate in National Night Out on Tuesday, August 2, 2002 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the New Windsor Fire Department Carnival Grounds. The event will feature live music from the Downhill Uprise Band, as well as many public safety demonstrations. The New Windsor Fire Department will be there with a fire engine on display.

There will be a variety of food available (first come first serve) including chicken wings, hot dogs and chips, ice cream, snowball and slices of apple pie. The hot dogs and chips are of courtesy of the New Windsor Lions Club, and the Chicken Wings and apple pie are courtesy of Performance Food Groups. There will be 30 vendors will be on location.

National Night Out has been held annually around the nation since 1984, with the goal of increasing awareness about police programs in the community, such as drug prevention, town watch, neighborhood watch and other anti-crime efforts.
