John G. O'Brecht. Johnny turned 83 years young in earlier May and the department decided to throw him a birthday party. While, the new residents of New Windsor may not know who Johnny is, we have not forgotten him. Johnny, always manned the station, and help out with any task that needed to be preformed around the station from cracking eggs at the breakfast or severing on as the foreman of Brush 105.

Johnny was always around town, and would greet all visitors with a smile and a wave. Johnny was an active volunteer with the New Windsor Fire Department for over 40 years, till he moved to Mount Airy to be closer to his sister. During his service with the department, Johnny was credited with assisting the Maryland State Fire Marshall's Office with helping solve an arson case in town as well as being the longest serving foreman on Brush 105.
