The New Windsor Fire Department is honored to partner with the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and "Light the Night" in honor of fallen firefighters from Sunday, April 27, 2025 to Sunday, May 4, 2025. The New Windsor Fire Department joins departments around the nation in honoring fallen firefighters and their families by lighting red lights in their memory. This week's memorial event concludes with the National Firefighters Memorial Weekend held on May 3rd and 4th at the National Fire Academy. The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation sponsors the official national tribute to all firefighters who have died in the line of duty during the previous year.

Robert "Bobby" Jones, an employee with the Reese and Community Volunteer Fire Department, will be honored at this years memorial event.
