The New Windsor Fire Department is preparing for five days of family fun, entertainment, food, and community spirit during its annual carnival, scheduled for Tuesday, May 19 through Saturday, May 23, 2026.

The carnival is held at the New Windsor Carnival Grounds next to the fire station at 101 High Street. This long-standing tradition brings residents and visitors together in support of local volunteer firefighters.

All proceeds from the event directly benefit the New Windsor Fire Department, helping fund important equipment purchases and necessary capital improvements. Recently, the department acquired a new Seagrave fire engine to replace a 20-year-old vehicle, and a new brush truck to take the place of a unit that had served for more than three decades. Department officials point to community support at events like the carnival as essential for maintaining reliable emergency services and up-to-date equipment.

Carnival guests will find a variety of meal options and carnival favorites throughout the week.

Lunch will be served from Tuesday, May 19 through Friday, May 22, between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Visitors are encouraged to stop by for lunch each day at the main food stand.
