Anchored Mini Boat Parade Returns to Support New Windsor & Union Bridge Fire Departments

The members of the New Windsor Fire & Hose Company No. 1 are excited to once again partner with Flood Zone Brewery for the 7th Annual Anchored Mini Boat Parade, taking place Wednesday, July 15 through Sunday, July 19, 2026, at Flood Zone Brewery, 50 North Main Street in Union Bridge.

This unique community tradition has become one of the area's most anticipated summer events, bringing together creativity, local businesses, live entertainment, and friendly competition—all while supporting two volunteer fire departments that proudly serve our communities.

Best of all, 100% of the proceeds from boat sponsorships, public voting donations, game booth activities, and additional contributions directly benefit the New Windsor Fire Department and the Union Bridge Fire Department, helping both organizations purchase lifesaving equipment, maintain apparatus, and continue providing emergency services to our citizens. Last year's event raised more than $41,000 for the two departments.

How the Mini Boat Parade Works:

Throughout the week, handcrafted miniature boats will be displayed along Little Pipe Creek behind Flood Zone Brewery. Community members are invited to visit, admire the creative entries, and vote for their favorite boats by making monetary donations. Every dollar donated counts as votes for the selected boat while simultaneously supporting your local volunteer firefighters.

Boat captains also compete by securing community sponsors, making this a fun and friendly fundraising competition where everyone wins—especially our local fire departments.

Winners announced at approximately 4:00 PM

In addition to the scheduled entertainment, visitors can enjoy daily hidden giveaways, great food, craft beverages, and a festive, family-friendly atmosphere throughout the event.
