Libertytown, MD – Members of the New Windsor Fire Department and the Carroll County Department of Fire and EMS responded to the 8500 block of Woodville Road in Libertytown, Frederick County, to assist the Libertytown Volunteer Fire Department and Frederick County Division of Fire and Rescue Services with a working barn fire.

Engine 101 responded with a crew of six firefighters to support fire suppression operations. Upon arrival, the crew assisted in establishing a reliable water supply by laying nearly 800 feet of large-diameter supply hose. This critical operation helped ensure that firefighters had an adequate water supply to support sustained firefighting efforts.

Following the establishment of the water supply, Engine 101's crew assisted with fire suppression and exposure protection operations. Firefighters worked to contain the blaze and prevent the fire from spreading to surrounding fields and nearby structures.

Chief 10-1 (B. Kreimer) was assigned as the Charlie Side Supervisor, overseeing firefighting operations on the rear (Charlie Side) of the barn.

The incident highlighted the importance of regional cooperation and mutual aid among fire departments. The New Windsor Fire and Hose Company No. 1 is proud to support our neighboring departments in Frederick County, providing additional personnel, apparatus, and resources when needed.
