Engine Company Responds on Chimney Fire

Just after midnight Station 14 (Winfield), Station 10 (New Windsor), Tower 3 (Westminster), and Ambulance 149 (Winfield) were alerted for a chimney fire in the 1600 block of Linzee Drive. Chief 14-2 (Legore) arrived on scene, found nothing evident and established the Linzee Drive Command. Engine 101 arrived on the scene and splint its crew of six, into two crews of three. The roof division (Lt. Lowman) and the interior division (EMS Capt. Coe). Crews were able to quickly find fire in a clogged stove pipe, and extinguish the fire. Linzee Drive Command held the assignment with Engine 101, Engine 142 and Paramedic 149 crews on the scene operated for twenty five minutes before returning to service.
