| The New Windsor Fire Department is proud to announce a significant equipment upgrade to our Rescue Engine, made possible through the dedication and generosity of the New Windsor Fire Department Auxiliary. Their tireless support has once again helped strengthen our department’s ability to serve the community with efficiency and professionalism.
With funds provided by the Auxiliary, the department recently upgraded the extrication tool storage system on our Rescue Engine. The project included the installation of two multiple extrication tool holders—innovative, rotating “Lazy Susan” platforms designed to maximize space and improve accessibility.
Each platform can securely store up to four extrication tools in a compact footprint. The adjustable mounting brackets are built to accommodate most brands of cutters, spreaders, and combination tools. This versatility ensures that our firefighters can quickly access the right tool when seconds matter most.
These upgrades not only streamline operations on the fireground and emergency scene but also enhance firefighter safety by reducing clutter and ensuring secure storage during response.
The New Windsor Fire Department extends a heartfelt thank you to our Auxiliary for making this project a reality. Their ongoing commitment continues to provide vital support that directly improves our readiness and effectiveness. |
