| The Carroll County Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services is proud to announce an upcoming community blood drive, offering residents an opportunity to play a direct role in saving lives across Carroll County.
Over the past year, Carroll County Fire & EMS has implemented the ability to administer blood products directly to seriously injured trauma patients and critically ill medical patients in the field. This advanced, life-saving capability has significantly improved patient outcomes by delivering essential care in the earliest moments of an emergency—often before arrival at the hospital.
While this program continues to make a measurable impact, it relies heavily on the availability of donated blood. Community support is vital to ensure that first responders have the resources needed to continue providing this critical level of care.
To support this mission, Carroll County Fire & EMS will be hosting a blood drive in partnership with Inova Blood Services:

Date: Wednesday, May 20, 2026
Time: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Location: 50 Kate Wagner Road, Westminster, Maryland - Carroll County Public Safety Training Center
Community members are encouraged to participate by donating blood or assisting with the event. Every donation has the potential to save multiple lives and directly supports the emergency services operating within our community.
