Just before 8am Medic 37, Station 3 (Westminster) and Rescue Squad 9 (Reese) were alerted for a Motor Vehicle Collision with Rescue on South Bound Route 27 just south of Stone Chapel Road. Seconds from the initial dispatch Medic 109, Engine 102 (New Windsor) and Paramedic 149 (Winfield) were added to the assignment due to reports of a school bus being involved in the crash. First arriving LS3 found a van vs bus rear end collision confirming 1 pinned and requested aviation. As units arrived extrication began on the van and the occupants of the bus were triaged. The patient was extricated in 45 minutes and flown to Shock Trauma; no occupants of the bus were injured in the incident.
